Refund & Cancellation Policy

How to cancel a membership, when you can ask for your money back and how long a refund takes to reach you.

Last updated 8 August 2026

This policy explains when you can get your money back and how to ask. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and it does not affect your statutory rights in [JURISDICTION].

1. The short version

  • Cancel a recurring membership whenever you like — it stops the next payment and you keep access until the period you paid for runs out.
  • Ask within [REFUND WINDOW, e.g. 14 days] of a payment and, in the circumstances below, we will refund it.
  • Refunds go back to the card or PayPal account that paid. We cannot send them anywhere else.

2. Your statutory cancellation right

Consumers in [JURISDICTION] normally have 14 days to change their mind about something bought online. Because a membership gives you immediate access to digital content and community features, you are asked to agree that access starts straight away — which means the 14-day right ends once you begin using the paid features. Where you have not used them, the right stands and we will refund you in full.

3. Recurring memberships

  • Cancel from Billing & plan in your account, or email us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not automatically refund part-used periods. If you cancel the day after a renewal, tell us — where you have not used the paid features since the renewal we will normally refund it.
  • If a renewal was charged after you had already cancelled, or charged twice, we refund it in full, always.

4. One-off purchases and services

For one-off digital purchases the position is the same as section 2. For a service delivered by a person, you may cancel before work starts for a full refund; once work has begun we will refund the part not yet delivered. Where a service page sets out its own terms, those terms apply to that service.

5. Payments that went wrong

Duplicate charges, charges after cancellation, an amount that does not match the price shown, or payment for access you were never given: contact us and we will put it right in full. You do not need to be within any window for these.

6. When we may say no

  • The membership period has been substantially used.
  • The request is outside the window in section 1 and none of the situations above applies.
  • The account was closed for a serious breach of our Terms of Service.
  • The request is part of a repeated buy-and-refund pattern.

If we turn a request down we will tell you why, and you can ask us to look again.

7. How to ask for a refund

Email [BILLING CONTACT EMAIL] from the address on your account, with the order or invoice number and a sentence about what went wrong. We aim to answer within [RESPONSE TIME, e.g. 3 working days].

8. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are issued through the provider that took the payment — Stripe or PayPal — back to the original payment method. Once we issue it, the money usually appears within 5–10 working days depending on your bank. We do not charge a fee for a refund.

9. Chargebacks

Please talk to us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback locks the payment while the provider investigates, which takes far longer than a refund from us. We may suspend an account with an open chargeback until it is resolved.
