Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us: accounts, membership plans, payment, acceptable use and how either side can end it.

Last updated 8 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us. By creating an account or paying for a membership you accept them, so please read them.

1. Who these terms are with

The community is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] of [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). "You" means the person using the site. Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

2. Your account

  • You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE, e.g. 16] to hold an account.
  • Give accurate registration details and keep your email address current — it is how we send receipts and password resets.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
  • One account per person unless we agree otherwise in writing. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.

3. Membership plans and payment

  • Free and paid membership plans are described on our pricing page. The price, currency, billing interval and what each plan includes are shown there before you pay.
  • Paid memberships are recurring. Unless you cancel first, your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period and the payment method you used is charged again.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe or PayPal. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Prices include or exclude tax as stated at checkout. If tax rules change, the amount you are charged may change accordingly.
  • We may change our prices. Existing members will be told at least [NOTICE PERIOD, e.g. 30 days] before a change affects their next renewal, and can cancel before it takes effect.
  • If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it succeeds.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel a recurring membership at any time from your billing page or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next payment. Unless the Refund & Cancellation Policy says otherwise, you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge a cancellation fee.

5. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms removes any statutory right you have as a consumer in [JURISDICTION].

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, threatening or obscene, or anything that encourages those things;
  • bully, stalk, impersonate or dox another member;
  • post content you do not have the right to post, including other people's copyrighted material;
  • send spam, chain messages, unsolicited advertising or referral links;
  • scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site, or use it to build a competing dataset;
  • probe, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its infrastructure or another member's account;
  • upload malware, or files intended to damage or overload the service;
  • use the community to promote a scam, or to sell goods or services where we have not allowed it.

Moderators may edit, hide or remove content that breaks these rules.

7. Content you post

You keep ownership of everything you post. To be able to run the community, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your content on the site and in features that promote it, for as long as you keep it posted. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant that licence. Delete your content, or your account, and the licence ends except where the content has already been shared onward by others or must be kept for the legal reasons in our Privacy Policy.

8. Our content

The site itself — its name, branding, design, code and the material we publish — belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it to take part in the community and for nothing else without our permission.

9. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, exposes us or our members to legal risk, or is used fraudulently. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and explain why. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.

10. Availability

We work to keep the community available and to keep backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and maintenance, upgrades or problems outside our control may interrupt access. The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows.

11. Our liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business or lost data, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

We are not responsible for what other members post. Content in the community is contributed by its members and does not represent our views.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the last change, and we will give reasonable notice of anything that materially affects you. Continuing to use the community after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protection in the country where you live.
